Corneotherapy: Naturopathy for the Skin
Corneotherapy and Naturopathy go hand in hand. Corneotherapy is centred around stimulating the innate healing capabilities of the skin and restoring balance with customised active skincare ingredients.
Think of our customised serums as an external herbal mix for the skin! Our Corneotherapists at our Sydney skin clinic at Bondi work with you to correct any deficiencies present and restore balance via an array of different active ingredients.
Liposomes
Liposomes are bioidentical to the membranes of our natural skin cells. They are composed of a bilayer that houses phosphatidylcholine (one of the most beneficial ingredients in our skin) as its central component.
The benefits of utilising liposomes mean an enhanced penetration and retention in the skin of the products contained within their formulation. Some of our favourite Liposomes include Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid and Zinc.
Nanoparticles
Nanoparticles are utilised as methods of transport into the skin, operating as capsules surrounded by a phosphatidylcholine membrane. They have a particularly high affinity for the outermost layer of the skin and work to facilitate the penetration of active ingredients further into the dermis of the skin.
Some of our favourite Nanoparticles include Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Kiwi seed, Co-Enzyme Q10 and Boswellia.
Monosubstances
Monosubstances are single-ingredient aqueous solutions designed to be utilised individually or blended into base creams. They work to target specific skincare concerns. Some of our favourite mono substances include D-panthenol (Vitamin D) and CM-Glucan complex.
Extracts
Extracts are highly concentrated formulations that are processed without preservatives and designed to provide a wide spectrum of effects. Extracts are designed to be applied directly to the skin or combined into a cream, mask, or pack to deliver tailored therapeutic effects. Some of our favourite extracts include Aloe vera, Echinacea, Green tea and Grapeseed.
Oils
Dermaviduals oils are pure, unfiltered, and non-diluted. They function to soothe and moisturise the skin. Oils contain a variety of triglycerides, phytosterols, and vitamins, all of which work synergistically to improve skin texture and function.
Some of our favourite oils include Avocado oil, Jojoba oil, Rosehip seed oil and Macadamia nut oil.
